Gaddis Memorial United Methodist Church, 141 Highway 87, Comfort, Texas in partnership with Methodist Healthcare Ministries of South Texas, Inc., administers the Wesley Nurse Health Ministries program. Kathy Holden, RN, is the Wesley Nurse for this service area. The Wesley Nurse Program began in 1997 with 30 nurses placed in United Methodist Church sites in the South Texas area known as the Southwest Texas Conference and Rio Grande Conferences of the United Methodist Church. To date, there are over 75 church sites for the Wesley Nurse Health Ministries. The Wesley Nurse Health Ministries is committed to promoting health, wholeness, and wellness within a Christian faith community through health and wellness services, education, and worship. This model responds to the changing needs of the congregation and community. Our model was specifically designed and profiled to effectively address the needs of the population we serve.
